Washing machine will not work at all
First check the basics – is the machine plugged in and is the plug socket switched on? Also, see if the electricity is working elsewhere in the home as you might have a power failure. It may be that the particular socket isn’t working, which you can test by plugging in a different appliance.
If you have checked all of these and the machine still doesn’t work, it could be that the fuse has blown inside the plug. If this is the case, you will have to replace it with one of the same ampage.
Another thing that could stop the washing machine from working is if the door is not shut properly. Some machines have a warning display to let you know if the door is not closed fully, but others do not. In this instance, it is best to open the door, then shut it again, applying more pressure. It is also advisable to check that the machine is properly switched on, and the appropriate wash has been selected.
