Fridge temperature is not cold enough
If your fridge or freezer is not keeping your food cold enough you need to first of all check your temperature control and adjust it if necessary.
As well as a fridge or freezer needing sufficient space around the outside for air to circulate you need to also ensure that the air can circulate inside the appliance. If items are packed too tightly together then they will not become cool enough so you need to ensure that air can circulate over the items as well as in between the shelves.
Another thing that can affect the appliance’s ability to cool food is if the door isn’t closed properly so check that the door mechanism is working and that none of the seals are broken. Likewise, if the appliance is placed too near to a heat source it may affect the temperature inside the fridge or freezer.
There are various other causes for insufficient cooling inside a fridge or freezer including air flow restrictions in the vents, a faulty evaporator fan or a refrigerant leak. If you have taken all the action advised above and your appliance is still not cold enough it is best to call out an engineer.
