Washing machine does not fill up with water
First of all check that you have carried out all the suggestions in tip number one. The washing machine will need to receive power before it starts to fill up. Next check to make sure that the tap that feeds the washing machine is turned on.
It is also important to make sure that the programme selector is positioned correctly, because if it is in the wrong place then the machine will not respond accordingly.
You may have a problem with the machine filling with water if the fill hose is kinked so it is best to check this too. If it is kinked then straighten out any twists or creases to allow the water to flow freely.
Sometimes you may find that as the machine fills up the water drains away. This is usually due to faulty plumbing, but there are also other causes. For example, your washing machine could overfill and there could be several reasons for this. In either of these situations it is best to hire an experienced engineer to fix the problem.
